President Trump, still in Florida for Thanksgiving, threw his support behind Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore by saying the Democratic candidate would be a "disaster."

"The last thing we need in Alabama and the U.S. Senate is a Schumer/Pelosi puppet who is WEAK on Crime, WEAK on the Border, Bad for our Military and our great Vets, Bad for our 2nd Amendment, AND WANTS TO RAISES TAXES TO THE SKY. Jones would be a disaster!," Trump wrote on Twitter.

Moore continues to face serious allegations of sexual misconduct but has refused to drop out of the race. Democrat Doug Jones has gained traction with the election about two weeks out.

Trump sent his second tweet, at 9:33 a.m., right after arriving at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach. He returns to Washington this afternoon.

He made similar remarks about Jones while leaving for Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday and pointed to Moore's denials.

"He denies it. Look, he denies it," Trump said. "If you look at all the things that have happened over the last 48 hours. He totally denies it. He says it didn't happen. And look, you have to look at him also."
