WASHINGTON – Education Secretary Betsy DeVos will visit schools in Southwest Florida on Monday.

Joined by Rep. Francis Rooney, R-Naples, Devos will tour Florida South Western State College and its charter school, Florida Southwestern Collegiate High School in Ft. Myers.

She will then visit Lake Park Elementary in Naples.

"Career technical education, job training and STEM will be the focus at FSWC while the stop at Florida Southwestern Collegiate High School will highlight parental choice and competition. A roundtable discussion with school officials and students will follow the first tour," Rooney's office said.

DeVos has made several trips to Florida since joining the Trump administration. She drew protests this spring when she was picked to give the commencement address at Bethune-Cookman University.
