Former state Rep. Jose Felix Diaz has landed a job with Brian Ballard's lobbying firm.
"We are thrilled to welcome Pepi to the firm, he brings a unique combination of integrity, experience and accomplishment that takes our Miami practice to new heights. He will be a critical asset guiding our clients' efforts in south Florida as well as assisting our expansion in Latin America," Ballard said in a release.
Diaz last year lost a tough Senate race to Democrat Annette Taddeo in which his ties to Donald Trump became an issue. At one point, Diaz, who once competed on season five of The Apprentice, deleted a social media picture of him with President-elect Trump. (The picture is attached).
Ballard Partners has expanded to Washington and enjoys close access to the Trump administration.
