At last, a Florida (and even better, Tampa!) connection to the roiling controversy about the personal attorney for President Donald Trump paying $130,000 to porn star Stormy Daniels one month before the 2016 election to keep quiet about an affair from 10 years before.
In a 2011 interview with In Touch, five years before the payment but just published this week, Daniels talked about her interactions with Trump, which included a promise of a condo in Trump Tower Tampa.
"I was talking about how I was going to be moving to Tampa at the time and he told me he was going to give me a condo there because they were building a Trump Tower there, which I don't think they ever finished, unless they finished it in the last two years since I've moved back from Tampa," she told InTouch. "I was like, 'You are not going to give me a condo.' "

And obviously, he didn't, because Trump Tower Tampa never got built.
Instead, plans for the $300 million project overlooking the Hillsborough River fell apart amid soaring construction costs and scarce financing. Would-be buyers in the 52-story tower lost deposits that, in one case, amounted to a purely coincidental $130,000.
