DeSantis says Rod Rosenstein will have to ‘explain’ himself

WASHINGTON – As other Florida lawmakers issued statements about the Nunes memo, Rep. Ron DeSantis got a big platform on Fox News and said Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein will have to "explain his role."

"I think Rosenstein is going to have to come to the Congress and explain his role in extending it," DeSantis said. "I mean, did he go back and review it and was satisfied, or he just extended it? And is he going to be able to justify this as a proper use of FISA?"

Trump today wouldn't say if he'll sack Rosenstein, whom Trump is said to be angry with. "You figure that one out," Trump told reporters.

DeSantis is running for governor and frequent appearances on Fox News are part of the strategy to expand his profile.
