WASHINGTON – Parkland students, who have been mainstays in national news, went for a more low-key approach Monday and Tuesday as they spread across Capitol Hill to press lawmakers for action on guns.

The meetings were not open to the news media, though lawmakers later distributed photos. A group of students met with House Speaker Paul Ryan, along with Rep. Ted Deutch, D-Boca Raton.
