Education Secretary Betsy DeVos to visit Douglas High School

The official’s visit to the site of the Parkland shooting will be closed to the press.

U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos is expected to visit Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Wednesday morning.

DeVos will meet with students and teachers at the high school in Parkland where 17 people were killed on Feb. 14.

According to a release from the U.S. Department of Education, Devos’ visit will be closed to the media “out of respect for the students and faculty who are returning to their first full day back in the classroom.”
