WASHINGTON – Florida Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen will receive the Anti-Defamation League's "America's Democracy Legacy Award" on Tuesday, joining a prestigious list of recipients that includes former presidents, from John F. Kennedy to George W. Bush.

The Miami Republican, who is retiring from office, said she was "humbled" by the honor and planned to speak about combating anti-Semitism, equality and the Dream Act.

The ADL is holding its national summit today and tomorrow in Washington.

Bush got the award in 2014 during a ceremony in Palm Beach and it covered his "inspirational leadership in promoting democratic values worldwide when faced with the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001," and for establishing establishment of the United States' first special envoy to confront anti-Semitism.
