WASHINGTON – Sen. Bill Nelson on Wednesday credited the Trump administration for working to free three American citizens from North Korea.

President Trump announced the release this morning, part of the talks with North Korea. (story here)

Meantime, Trump's decision to pull out of the Iran nuclear deal has some concerned about efforts to free Americans there, including Floridian Bob Levinson, who was picked up from an Iranian island in 2007.

UPDATE: Gov. Rick Scott also weighed in.

Sen. Marco Rubio: "I applaud Secretary of State Pompeo and the Trump Administration for securing the release of three U.S. citizens who were wrongly detained in North Korea. While we face many challenges ahead, this is an important development for these Americans and their families – and for our country."
