Bill Nelson reserves $18 million in TV day after August primary

Bill Nelson's re-election campaign has reserved $18 million in TV air time to begin the day after the Aug. 28 primary.

It represents Nelson's first TV ads against an onslaught from Gov. Rick Scott. The reservation was first reported by Politico and confirmed by Nelson's campaign.

Senate Majority PAC has already laid down $23 million for ads to begin in October.
