Winner of the week:
Ron DeSantis, Rick Scott. It’s a great feeling to win a hard-fought election, as the Republican nominees for governor and U.S. Senate did Nov. 6. DeSantis and Scott, though, had the opportunity to bask in victory a second time, with the recounts drew to conclusion.

Loser of the week:

Florida legislature. The GOP-controlled majority for years has seemed more interested in preventing virtually non-existent election fraud than making voting in Florida accessible, reliable, practicable and mostly safe from legal challenges.  "We have been the laughing stock of the world election after election and we chose not to fix this," Tallahassee federal judge Mark Walker said in court last week.
