Just as the sky over North Florida lit up Saturday night, videos taken from driver’s dash cams soon followed suit on social media, putting national attention on Florida for a non-Florida man reason.

A meteor could be seen for roughly two seconds, and according to the Associated Press, the American Meteor Society said more than 150 reports were called in across the Southeast. The sight of it took one driver by surprise so much. he paused before shouting “What the f--- was that!”

Twitter users who shared their videos of the spectacle say it occurred around 11:55 p.m. Saturday night. Speculation about what the light was ended when the National Weather Service’s Tallahassee office confirmed it was a meteor and provided an image of it on its GOES Lightning Mapper.
