The Thursday night execution of Bobby Joe Long leaves 340 inmates on Florida’s death row. Forty-six of those men were convicted in Tampa Bay area courts.
Two more who were convicted and sentenced to death for the beating death of a man they lured to the woods off a dating site will soon join them.
Of those 46 men, many have been serving their sentences for more than 30 years.
