As summer rolls on, here are a few of the more unique Airbnb and Vrbo home rentals around Tampa, whether you’re interested in a staycation or looking for novelty when you travel. Tampa Bay has an abundance of Florida mainstays, such as houseboats and yachts, but there are more unconventional options on both websites.

A house that is art

Vitale Bros. murals have become a well-known sight in St. Petersburg in recent years, but brothers Johnny, Paul and Joey have been splashing murals across the walls of Tampa Bay area buildings since 1992, including this home in St. Petersburg’s Kenwood neighborhood.

They are common in cities with old vacated warehouses, but there are also options for loft apartments in Tampa Bay. Old West Studio Lofts in West Tampa has multiple units listed for short-term rentals.
