DEVELOPING: The Rays open a potentially pivotal nine-game Midwest road trip tonight in St. Louis, and will do so with a new name in and a different look to their lineup and their jerseys.

Free agent INF Danny Espinosa, who was signed earlier Friday, will start at second base in place of Brad Miller, as the Rays play without the DH under NL rules.

Also, it's Players Weekend, so they will be wearing a light blue and yellow jersey, and many players will have nicknames on their backs rather than than their usual names. Players are also wearing patches, and more colorfuly cleats and other gear than usually allowed.
