  1. Rays

For starters: Rays at Yankees, with no Kiermaier

UPDATE, 4:13: The threat of rain has apparently passed, and they are planning for a 4:30 first pitch.
UPDATE, 3:35:
As if the three delays weren't enough Friday, the tarp was just placed on the field.
UPDATE, 3:14
: Kiermaier said, "It's been a while since I've had a day. It was just a chance to get me off my feet.'' He said the decision to make it today was mutual with him and Cash both talking about it, "maybe a little bit of both.'' Kiermaier played in 18 consecutive games, though there was a team off-day on Sept. 1.

UPDATE, 2:40: No Kevin Kiermaier in Rays lineup today, as he and Cash decided, despite his 13-game hitting streak and good numbers vs. Tanaka, he was due for a day off. Kiermaier said he would be available later and back in the lineup Sunday. .... Cash said Archer has done much better of late and needs to stay aggressive and avoid the home run ball.

Here is the Rays lineup:

Forsythe 2b,
Franklin SS,
Longoria 3b,
Miller 1b,
Morrison DH,
Dickerson LF,
Souza RF,
Mahtook cf,
Wilson c,
Archer p

And here is the Yankees lineup:
Gardner lf
Ellsbury cf
Sanchez c
Gregorius ss
Castro 2b
McCann dh
Refsnyder rf
Austin 1b
Torreyes 3b
Tanaka p

DEVELOPING: After a long wet night that included three rain delays and a 7-5 loss, the Rays take on the surging Yankees again today at 4:05.

RHP Chris Archer, successful twice thus far in avoiding a team-record tying 18th loss, will be on the mound for the Rays. The Yankees are starting ace RHP Masahiro Tanaka, who is usually tough on the Rays.

Lineups when available.
