1. Egg hunts: With the start of Holy Week, Easter egg hunts are popping up across the Tampa Bay area, including an Easter Egg Helicopter Drop at noon Saturday at Beaumont Ranch, 19765 State Road 52, Land O'Lakes ($5 with 12 filled eggs and activities; egg drop free), and a Horseback Easter Egg Hunt for ages 3-16 aboard a horse for a guided hunt at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Saddle Up Riding Club, 9301 62nd St. N, Pinellas Park ($2 admission, $6 hunt).

2. Pawfest: Bring the dog and the rest of the family for meet and greets with a Largo Police K-9, inflatables, games, pet contests, agility demonstrations, clowns, face painting, food and a dog mall. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. Largo Central Park, 101 Central Park Drive. Free. (727) 587-6720.

3. Smithsonian Museum Hometown Teams: This free traveling exhibit focuses on how sports has shaped our society, while bringing a taste of the Washington, D.C., museum to rural parts of America. The interactive and touchable exhibit has sports trivia, gear owned by 1920s local golfing great Gene Sarazan and the racing bike ridden by Sean Kelly, who placed first in the 1988 Vuelta a España and earned a green jacket in the 1989 Tour de France. It is open to the public from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 Wednesdays through Saturdays and continues through April 27. 6346 Grand Blvd., New Port Richey.

4. Wake Up, Brother Bear: Kids 3 to 7 get a bag of props to join in the show as they watch Brother and Sister Bear travel through a year of seasons. The interactive show is at numerous Hillsborough County libraries, including 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Keystone Recreation Center, 17928 Gunn Highway, Odessa; April 18 at Town 'N Country Regional Public Library; and April 25 at SouthShore Regional Library in Ruskin. 5. CARES Beach Chair-ity Festival: The two-day festival includes vendors, crafts and a full schedule of entertainment at the waterfront SunWest Park facility. Saturday's highlights include the Tampa Bay Water Ski Show at 1 p.m., the Makes Ya Mamma Mad Band from 2 to 5, singer Marla Jo at 5:30 and fireworks over the lake at 8:30. Sunday's highlights include a volleyball tournament, with MonkeyBone performing at 11 a.m., and the Beach Chair-ity auction at 3 p.m. This is a benefit for CARES, or Community Aging and Retirement Services, a nonprofit organization that helps seniors and their caregivers. 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday at SunWest Park, 17362 Old Dixie Highway, Hudson.
