1. Artist Talk: For a year and a half, Renato Rampolla spent his time photographing and talking with homeless people in Memphis, Boston, New York City, Chicago, New Orleans and the Tampa Bay area for a photo book titled Dignity No Matter What that Rampolla published to change the outlook of others. "Some just gave up on life," he said in a recent Tampa Bay Times interview. "I don't judge. I don't know how I'd react if I lost a daughter. I don't know how strong I'd be." He will be discussing the images at a talk in Carrollwood and share further insights about his work, his conversations with the homeless and his journey into this art project. Books will be available for purchase. All proceeds benefit Blankets of Tampa Bay. Free. 6-7:30 p.m. July 10. Carrollwood Cultural Center Community Room, 4537 Lowell Road, Tampa.
