Before their deaths, the Philippe Park owls were famous. People gathered around the “Owl Tree,” a knobby live oak draped in Spanish moss at the edge of a parking lot. Some gave the owls names, Oliver and Emily, this year with three babies: Huey, Louie and Daisy.
