When Florida and LSU meet Saturday night at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, both teams will be dealing with issues at the quarterback position.
The Gators have suspended freshman QB Treon Harris indefinitely while he's under investigation for an alleged sexual assualt. It was anticipated that Harris would get the start this week against the Tigers after he engineered a fourth-quarter comeback win at Tennessee last week.
Gators junior starter Jeff Driskel, who has struggled this season, is expected to start. Freshman backup Will Grier has been plagued by back spams over the past two weeks and has not played in a collegiate game. Sophomore Skyler Morhingweg started the final three games last season after Driskel and backup Tyler Murphy were each injured. He has not played in a game this season.
Meanwhile, LSU is also having trouble at the QB position. Tigers coach Les Miles said this week he'll assess Brandon Harris and Anthony Jennings to determine who'll be the starter vs. the Gators.
Harris started in a loss to Auburn last Saturday. Jennings started the first five games.
