ACCESS WINS AWARD: Access Health Care Physicians was recognized as the 2018 Telly Award winner for the local TV category in General Fitness, Health and Wellness. The award was for the company's commercial spot entitled "Jenny's Mom." The award honors film and video productions, web commercials and local, regional and cable TV commercials. The commercial can be viewed online at vimeo.com/256853651.
EMPLOYERS WANTED FOR JOB FAIR: Employers are wanted to participate in Opportunity 2019 Hernando County Job Fair, from 9 a.m. to noon April 4 at Pasco-Hernando State College North Campus, 11415 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Brooksville. The event is presented by PHSC, CareerSource Pasco Hernando, the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce and Hernando County Office of Economic Development. Local employers can promote open positions and future positions, and meet with job seekers from the community, as well as PHSC students seeking employment. 7-ELEVEN GRAND OPENING: 7-Eleven will host a grand opening celebration from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 27 at its new store at 1281 Commercial Way, Spring Hill. It is also the day the store officially opens to the public. There will be a fresh food sampling, free coffee and Big Gulp drinks, and $1 hot dogs. Radio station 99.5 QYK will be on site from 1 to 3 p.m. There will be face painting, balloon animals, games and activities.
FREE HEALTH LECTURE: A free lecture, "Your Health Begins in Your Gut," will be presented at 6 p.m. April 9 at Get Healthy Brooksville, 1254 S Broad St., Brooksville. The speaker is Dr. Michael Murray, a natural doctor, author and chief science officer at Enzymedica. He will discuss the connection between gut microflora, digestive health and total body wellness. CHAMBER NEWS: The Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce will host the following:
