High winds send Bucs to Ray-Jay for Friday practice

Published Oct. 7, 2016

Bucs coach Dirk Koetter said his team would have to be ready for sudden change this week as Hurricane Matthew moves north along the state's east coast, bringing high winds and rains across the state.

And due to those high winds, the Bucs are moving their Friday morning practice -- still closed to the public -- across the street from One Buc Place to Raymond James Stadium, where they'll hold both their scheduled walkthrough and regular practice. As hurricane reshuffling goes, it's a minor inconvenience in a week that is seeing college games postponed (UCF-Tulane) and canceled (UF-LSU) across the state.

The Bucs, preparing for Monday's game at Carolina, should have better conditions for their Saturday morning practice, their last here before they travel to North Carolina.
