TEMPLE TERRACE — After undergoing a half-million-dollar remodeling and renovation, Shapes Fitness for Women celebrated its grand opening on March 30.

The Temple Terrace Shapes Fitness for Women is now a Premier location that features a variety of classes, equipment and healthy amenities.

“We’re a boutique healthclub,” said co-owner Mary Nash.

Nash has been with Shapes corporate since 1986, and she bought the Temple Terrace location once Shapes Fitness for Women became a franchise.

“We’re the only Shapes Fitness for Women that has tanning and HydroMassage,” she said.

There is also an infrared sauna which is good for circulation, detoxification and health conditions such as high blood pressure.

Fitness classes include Zumba, Trifecta, Pump, Pilates and Crossfire, a monthly bootcamp style class. There is a 30-minute express workout as well as personal training, elite training and small group training.

The Shapes App allows members to track their workouts, goals, challenges and progress.

Nash said that Shapes is great for women of all ages, whether you’re 16 or 93.

“Our main goal is to make you the best woman you could possibly be,” she said.
