Defensive of the day
Strawberry Crest became the second team in Saladino tournament history to turn a triple play. With runners on first and second, Steinbrenner called for a hit and run. Senior Nick D’Ambrosio hit a line-drive bullet toward second baseman Nick Brocato, who was positioned close to the bag. Brocato caught it, stepped on second and threw to first to end the inning.
