Brandon forward Roderick Davis has orally committed to Wright State, Davis said Monday evening.

Davis, a 6-foot-8 senior, earned honorable mention all-Hillsborough County honors last winter. He averaged 13.2 points, 8.9 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game for Brandon, which finished 18-9.

He was also recruited by FAU, James Madison, Colgate and others.

Davis made his decision after visiting Wright State over the weekend.

"I was kind of getting anxious for recruiting to be over with," Davis said.

Oral commitments are non-binding until recruits sign national letters of intent during their senior years. Davis said he has not decided whether he will sign in November during the early period, or if he will take any other official visits.

Wright State is an NCAA Division I college in Dayton, Ohio and a member of the Horizon League. The Raiders finished 23-13 last year.
