Former Central standout guard Alex Ruoff was drafted by the NBA D-League’s Erie BayHawks last week.
He didn’t stay there long.
After being the No. 12 pick of the second round Friday, Ruoff was traded twice Monday. The BayHawks shipped him to the Reno Bighorns in a five-player deal. Reno then traded the 6-foot-6 guard to the Canton Charge – the Cleveland Cavaliers’ D-League affiliate.
Ruoff has played overseas after a standout career at West Virginia. He was the Times’ all-Citrus/Hernando player of the year for the Bears in 2004.
