Former Central star DuJuan Harris picked a good time for his breakout performance.

Harris – who wasn’t even on an NFL roster early in the season – drew some national attention with an early run for the Green Bay Packers last night:

“Dude!” sports personality Jim Rome tweeted. “DuJuan Harris??!? LIsted at 5-8?! That was a violent truck job. Might want to re-insert him.”

Harris saved his heroics for the end, though. With the score tied at 17 in the fourth quarter, Harris rushed 14 yards up the middle for his first NFL touchdown to give the Packers the lead for good. Not bad for a guy who wasn’t added to the active roster until Dec. 1.

Green Bay tacked on a field goal for a 27-20 win over the Lions.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel has some coverage of Harris’ game here. And you can see his touchdown – and ensuing Lambeau Leap – over on Packers.com.
