The Patriots (3-3, 1-1) jumped out to a big first-half lead to cruise to a victory in Class 2A, District 9.

Mike Smith had more than 100 yards receiving and Willie Parker had more than 100 rushing as Carrollwood Day went ahead 41-6 by halftime. In all, the Patriots had more than 500 yards of offense.

“We’re starting to get healthy and we’re getting on a pretty good roll,” Carrollwood Day coach Lane McLaughlin said. “We played a tough schedule early on, and that’s starting to pay off now that we’re into our district schedule.”
