Yes, there has been an abundance of Schulman girls at Gulf since 2003.
So far, five in all have roamed the hallways at Gulf with another one set to make her way to the New Port Richey school in about 10 years.
The latest news relates to junior Dani Schulman, who has orally committed to Florida Gulf Coast to play soccer. The Buccaneers sweeper has started all three seasons of her high school career. Last season, she scored four goals and notched an assist in helping the Bucs to a 9-5-5 record.
Lorraine Schulman said her daughter had interest from several schools including Flagler College and Barry University.
"Dani was (Gulf Coast's) top recruit," Lorraine said. "If she wasn't interested (the coach) was going to move on. We went and visited the campus. For us, it's a perfect fit. It's done and that's where we wanted her to go. We're very excited and very proud of her."
Dani's older sister, Katie, might best be remembered for a horrific leg injury she suffered during a softball game in 2006. There's also younger sister Alicia, a sophomore at Gulf.
Dani also has a pair of cousins in basketball players Jordan Schulman and Lexy Schulman. Jordan graduated in 2008 and Lexy was a freshman on the basketball team last season.
