Hernando OL Andrew Timmons has orally committed to Graceland University, Leopards coach Dwayne Mobley said Wednesday morning.

Timmons, a 6-foot-1, 290-pound senior, was a key lineman for the Leopards. He had one pancake block as a senior and helped open holes for the run-heavy offense and Georgia Southern signee Tyrail Hawkins.

Timmons’ father of the same name starred for the Leopards, setting a school record with 24 tackles in a game before playing at Kansas State.

Timmons plans to sign with Graceland in a May 3 ceremony. Graceland is an NAIA program in Lamoni, Iowa and a member of the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
