Perfection, it seems, has grown contagious in Hillsborough County.

For the second time this month, a county pitcher has tossed a perfect game. The latest: King right-hander and University of Florida signee Brett Morales, who fanned 11 in Tuesday's five-inning, 10-0 rout of Tampa Bay Tech.

Morales' gem was only the second perfect game by a Lion in coach Jim Macaluso's 37-plus seasons. It comes four days after Steinbrenner senior Nick Sucarichi tossed a five-inning perfecto in an 11-0 rout of Gaither.

"He really had great stuff," Macaluso said. "We didn't have a (radar) gun …but I've got to believe he was 90 or 91 (mph). He had a good curveball tonight, had good command of it."
