Madison Winningham made a free throw with 35 seconds left to break a tie and give Northeast a rare 53-52 victory over a Lakewood team expected to again be one of Pinellas County's best.

Lakewood had two chances to win down the stretch. After Winningham's free throw, the Spartans missed a 3-pointer with 18 seconds left and two free throws with 0.6 seconds remaining.

The Spartans had to play the final two minutes without starting point guard Deja Swinton, who fouled out after scoring 13 points. That allowed Northeast to double Siyana Allen, who finished with 17 points to lead all scorers

How dominant have the Spartans been in this series?
