Osceola rising senior Keith Weisenberg was one of 40 players named to the USA Baseball 18-under national team.

Weisenberg will attend the national team trials in mid August in Los Angeles. At the trials, coaches will select 20 players to participate in the IBAF 18-under World Cup in Taiwan in late August.

As a junior for the Warriors, Weisenberg was 6-2 as the team's top starter. He was a Times' second-team all-county selection. Weisenberg was one of six Florida players selected and the only player from Tampa Bay.

The United States won the 18-under world championship last summer.
