Brooks-DeBartolo guard Michael Obi has picked up his first Division I offer, from Sam Houston State, he announced Thursday night on Twitter.

Obi earned honorable mention all-North Suncoast honors as a sophomore at Land O’Lakes last winter. Then a 6-foot-2 guard, Obi averaged 14.2 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game for the Gators.

He transferred to Brooks-DeBartolo in the offseason.
