The haul of college offers for juniors doesn't usually occur until the day after signing day, but Plant City's Jordan Prestwood received an offer from Notre Dame Wednesday.
It's a huge offer for the 6-foot-6, 260-pound junior, who also owns offers from Auburn, South Carolina and West Virginia, among others.
"I would think they're one of his favorites," Plant City coach Jason Strunk said. "He loved it there."
Prestwood, who is being recruited by Notre Dame as an offensive tackle, camped at Notre Dame over the summer and was on the Fighting Irish's radar since. He had been recruited by wide receivers coach Tony Alford, who was a holdover when Brian Kelly replaced Charlie Weis, and Strunk said the Irish's interest actually picked up when Kelly took over.
"Jordan is pretty excited," Strunk said. "When I told him, he was smiling ear to ear."
