Wiregrass Ranch LB/RB Jordan Mutcherson has received his first college offer, from Youngstown State, Bulls coach Mike Lawrence said Sunday in a text message.

Mutcherson, a 6-foot-2, 230-pound senior, is one of Pasco County’s sleeper prospects after transferring from Zephyrhills to Jefferson to Wiregrass during his junior year. As a sophomore, he racked up 54 tackles at Zephyrhills.

He was one of the Bulls’ top performers during their spring jamboree mini-games against Sunlake and Wesley Chapel, breaking up a pass and recording a sack late against the Seahawks.

Youngstown State is an NCAA Division I-AA program that plays in the Missouri Valley Conference. The Penguins have been active recruiters of Tampa Bay, landing Robinson RB Martin Ruiz and Boca Ciega DB Damarius Brinson, Jr. in February.
