GAINESVILLE - Offensive lineman Martez Ivey entered Florida as the top recruit at his position, so it shouldn't be a surprise that he's already impressing teammates in his first fall camp.
"That guy's a freak, dude," running back Kelvin Taylor said. "He's going to be great, man. He wasn't a five-star (recruit) for nothing."
The 6-foot-6, 290-pound Ivey starred at Apopka and earned high school All-America honors. As UF replaces four starters on the offensive line, Ivey has gotten looks as a first-team tackle. Taylor said Ivey pops out in the film room.
"Trust me," Taylor said. "He's physical. He's smart. He knows exactly what he's doing. He's going to be really good."
