We fused the fashion industry with printing production for our factory-forward outfits this month. Our models wore lemon butter blazers and black peplum tops to sort printed pages from blank newsprint sheets at our Tampa Bay Times printing plant. The imposing presses were a sharp contrast to the glamorous designs, including a yellow chiffon gown with a train; a gold, ruched dress; and a ruffle mini dress with white, thigh-high patent leather boots. A red two-piece pantsuit and rhinestone pointed pumps were the outfit of choice for the printing units on Press #9, where ink is applied to the paper. Imagine wearing a sheer, floral, high-slit gown to toss papers from a delivery truck. And the models wore an emerald green peplum gown and a fuchsia glitter gown to lug the wrenches that tighten our printing plates.
