Just cast your vote and wear your “I Voted” sticker to area businesses and they’ll give you a free or reduced price treat. The following is a list of a few locations and their Election Day deals.
- Kahwa: Personal injury law firm Farah and Farah has set up a $1,000 coffee tab at Kahwa’s Tampa location, 808 N Tampa St. Just show your “I Voted” sticker, or tell them you voted by mail, and get a free cup of coffee.
- Grassroots Kava House: Show your “I Voted” sticker at any area Grassroots Kava House and get a free small coffee. Locations can be found in St. Petersburg, Seminole Heights and Ybor City.
- Krispy Kreme: Krispy Kreme is celebrating “doughmocracy.” Show your “I Voted” sticker at any area Krispy Kreme and get a free original glazed doughnut. If you voted by mail and don’t have a sticker, stop in and they’ll give you an “I Voted” sticker AND a free original glazed doughnut. To find a Krispy Kream near you, go to krispykreme.com.
- (swah-rey): Stop into one of St. Petersburg’s (swah-rey) cupcake shops, 2105 Central Ave. or 625 Central Ave., and tell them you voted and get a free red, white and blue mini-cupcake. “I Voted” sticker not required.
- Rubio’s Coastal Grill: Rubio’s held a fan favorite election between their Langostino Lobster Taco and the Mexican Street Corn Shrimp Taco. Go to any area location and get the winner for $3 after 2:30 p.m. on Election Day only. To find a location near you, go to rubios.com.
- Democracy is Delicious: Pizza to the Polls launched a food truck program to feed hungry voters waiting in long lines. If you’re in Tampa on Election Day and find a long line, report it online at polls.pizza/trucks and a food truck with free food will be dispatched to that location as soon as possible.
