Actor John Stamos will once again sit in for a Beach Boys concert at Ruth Eckerd Hall when the iconic band stops at Clearwater’s Ruth Eckerd Hall on May 16.

The Full House actor is pretty much a part-time Beach Boy, sitting in with Mike Love and company whenever his schedule allows. He zipped in for a few songs when the Beach Boys played Ruth Eckerd Hall in 2015, 2016 and 2018.

The musical friendship dates back to the 1980s, when Stamos appeared in the Kokomo video and the band appeared on Full House.

The show will feature a mix of Beach Boys classics as well as new material, including Love’s latest single, This Too Shall Pass, which he released at the start of the pandemic to encourage positivity. The song features Stamos on drums. Proceeds from the song go to Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund.

The Beach Boys play Ruth Eckerd Hall at 5 and 8 p.m. May 16. Tickets are limited and both shows will be at 50 percent capacity.

Face coverings will be required inside the facility, contact is being minimized and hand sanitizer stations are available. Tickets are $53.25-$128.25 at rutheckerdhall.com or by calling 727-791-7400.
