Country music superstar Darius Rucker will be the featured performer at the seventh edition of the Valspar PGA tournament’s concert series on March 18, 2023.
The “Wagon Wheel” singer will perform at the end of Saturday’s play on the Osprey Driving Range, adjacent to the Copperhead Course. The concert is free to all ticketed golf fans.
A three-time Grammy winner, Rucker has released four No. 1 albums on the Billboard country chart and has topped the charts in country radio 10 times with hit singles including his most recent, “Beers and Sunshine.”
Rucker, the former frontman for Hootie and the Blowfish, was last in the Tampa Bay area headlining the Tampa Pig Jig last October. The event sold out in a record 13 days when Rucker was announced as the headliner.
The Valspar PGA tournament will return to Innisbrook in Palm Harbor from March 13-20. Last year it drew 19 of the top 50 players in the world. Sam Burns is slated to attempt to win the Valspar Championship for the third straight season.
Tickets will go on sale Nov. 15 at valsparchampionship.com.
