The History Channel’s hit “Pawn Stars,” a reality show following the happenings of a pawn shop in Las Vegas, is taking its show on the road to St. Petersburg this month.
“Pawn Stars Do America” will film in St. Petersburg in an as-yet-disclosed location on April 5-7 and April 11-13. The show is giving out free tickets to those who apply to attend a live taping at freetvtix.com/shows/1/pawnstars.
The spinoff show is traversing the country looking for historical finds and collectible objects. “Pawn Stars Do America” will film for six days in downtown St. Petersburg, according to an email.
“Fans of the show can get the chance to mingle on set, watch the ‘Pawn Stars’ guys work and see the process of the show being filmed while we are in town,” the email said.
Rick Harrison, Austin “Chumlee” Russell and Corey Harrison are in search of interesting objects at 14 cities across the country for the spinoff, according to the History Channel website.
