Beloved characters Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday, Pugsley, Uncle Fester and all of their extended family will pop up — alive and dead — during “The Addams Family,” a musical comedy based on the spooky-ooky television series.

“The audience can expect a fun night of nostalgia, especially if they saw it as a kid or in reruns,” said stage manager Kari Kennedy. “It’s such a great throwback show.”

The St. Petersburg Theatre is a community theater dating back to 1925. About 32 people make up the cast and crew, ranging in age from 10 years old to a couple in their 60s, all volunteers.

“The thing about community theater is that it is truly a community that puts it together. Everyone is doing this on a volunteer basis and they are doing it because they love it,” Kennedy said.

“Once you get this stuff in your blood, it’s hard to get it out.”

Tickets are $28 for adults, $15 for students, $10 for ages 10 and younger. 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday. 4025 31st St. S, St. Petersburg. 727-866-1973. spcitytheatre.org.
