In September, we announced the lineup of authors for the 2020 Tampa Bay Times Virtual Festival of Reading.
It’s a great list, but we hope you don’t mind that we’ve added a few more authors.
You might have heard of John Grisham: author of 35 novels, most of them hugely bestselling legal thrillers like The Firm and The Reckoning. His books have been translated into more than 40 languages and sold more than 300 million copies worldwide.
Grisham will be joining the festival with a recorded interview to talk about his latest book, A Time for Mercy. (See review.) It’s the second sequel (after Sycamore Row) to his very first novel, A Time to Kill.
We’ve also added journalist and historian Jonathan Alter, who will talk about his new presidential biography, His Very Best: Jimmy Carter, a Life.
St. Petersburg’s deputy mayor, Kanika Tomalin, will talk about her new cookbook, St. Pete Eats. A part of the Healthy St. Pete initiative, the cookbook gathers recipes from many of the city’s favorite restaurants.
Video interviews with Grisham, Alter and Tomalin, as well as more than 40 other authors, will be available for free starting Nov. 12 at festivalofreading.com.
