Tombolo Books, Florida Humanities and the Florida Freedom to Read Project present An Evening With Rob Sanders, celebrating the local author’s two new LGBTQ books for young readers. “Stitch by Stitch,” the story of Cleve Jones, continues his children’s nonfiction series about historic figures from the LGBTQ community, and “Blood Brothers” is his first middle-grade novel. Talk and signing take place at 7 p.m. Sept. 6 at Coastal Creative, 2201 First Ave. S, St. Petersburg. Free; RSVP at tombolobooks.com/events.
