Bestselling author and Friends and Fiction co-host Patti Callahan Henry will do a drop-in signing of her new historical fiction novel, “The Secret Book of Flora Lea,” at 2:30 p.m. May 14 at Tombolo Books, 2153 First Ave. S, St. Petersburg. Free.

The Oxford Exchange presents a tea buffet and talk with Ayana Christie and Jacqueline Bond, creators of “The Secret Garden Art Novel,” and Keri Wilt, author Frances Hodgson-Burnett’s great-great-granddaughter, at 3:30 p.m. May 21 at the bookstore, 420 W Kennedy Blvd., Tampa. Tickets $58, which includes tea and a buffet of sandwiches and desserts, at oxfordexchange.com/pages/calendar. Copies of the book will be available for sale.
