The Museum of the American Arts and Crafts Movement is celebrating its second anniversary with $10 admission Thursday through Saturday. That is a sizeable discount from its normal $25 adult admission, making it a great time to check out the museum if you haven’t already.
In addition to the museum’s collection of furniture, ceramics, lighting and more from the Arts and Crafts movement — a period between about 1890 and 1930 — a special exhibition, “Dignity and Grace: These Humbler Metals,” is currently on display.
Also on Saturday is a conversation with the museum’s architect, Alberto Alfonso of Alfonso Architecture. Hear how Alfonso conceived the stunning five-story, 137,000-square-foot museum. This is an additional $10 with required registration.
Public docent guided tours happen at 11 a.m. now through Saturday, with additional tours at 1 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. The 50-minute tours are included with admission and don’t require registration.
