There is no question that back-to-school time this year looks very different. Pandemic-related adjustments are taking their toll on parents and teachers. In light of that, McDonald’s has been offering them free coffee to help get through their challenging days.
In August, McDonald’s across central Florida, including all of Tampa Bay, gave free medium premium roast coffee or iced coffee to parents in anticipation of kids going back to school.
Beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 15, all central Florida McDonald’s are giving teachers free coffee every Tuesday for the rest of September. Teachers will be able to pick up the free small McCafe drink of their choice at any time. No purchase is necessary, but teachers must present school ID. The free drinks are not available through delivery.
“Teachers are being honored for their dedication to shaping the minds of local youth as they adapt to a new way of learning this school year,” a news release from the McDonald’s Franchise Owners of Central Florida said.
