Top 10 Tampa Bay area events for the week of April 12-18

Oscar Nominee Showcase: Because audiences didn’t have the opportunity to see most of this year’s Oscar-nominated films due to COVID-19, Tampa Theatre is offering a screening of all Best Picture nominees, as well as most films nominated for Best Actor, Actress, Director and Screenplay. The schedule includes:

• Judas and the Black Messiah (126 min., R): In a plea deal, a car thief infiltrates the Black Panther Party in the late 1960s. 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
• Mank (131 min., R): This is David Fincher’s Netflix-presented passion project about the brilliant and troubled screenwriter of Citizen Kane, Herman J. Mankiewicz. 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Fight for Air Climb: The 16th annual climb moves out of the stairwells of the Bank of America Tower and into Raymond James Stadium. Participants will climb approximately 1,000 steps in the outdoor stadium. Benefits the American Lung Association. $35 (with $100 minimum fundraising). 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Gasparilla Bar Invasion: Get your pirate costumes together, assemble your crew and get ready to crawl among more than 15 bars in downtown and South Tampa.
