Children ages 6 to 17 are invited to audition to be a part of the holiday classic Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet. Auditions will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, at the Pinellas Studio of Dance, 559 Mirror Lake Drive, St. Petersburg.
Talmi Entertainment has brought together a ballet company consisting of 75 renowned ballet dancers from 16 countries.
Auditions are very informal. No preparation is necessary. Girls should wear leotard, tights and ballet shoes or socks. Boys should wear tights or shorts, a T-shirt and ballet shoes or socks. Rehearsals will be held each Sunday leading up to the production.
The Nutcracker takes place at noon, 4 and 8 p.m. Dec. 30 at Mahaffey Theater, 400 First St. S, St. Petersburg. For more audition information, call the dance studio at 727-742-2594. For show tickets, call the Mahaffey at 727-892-5721.
